timber and steel truss design for houses and industrial buildings.

Specific to the span, the truss design concept is formulated on MICROSTRAN and member sizes assumed for analysis.
The load cases for truss design are formed for wind, live and dead loading along with the appropriate concentrated loadings. By optimising the member sizes the final version is confirmed.
The information is then transferred to AutoCAD electronically for drafting the truss design frame. The connection details are completed to facilitate the fabrication of the truss design along with the columns and column bases.
In residential buildings we are often requested to design roof members within the truss design but in some cases the client or the builder chooses to go for prefabricated standard timber trusses to reduce the cost of roof timber. This can only be achieved in regular roof construction. In these cases we work closely with the specific truss manufacturer and check and certify their design, incorporate their details with our overall structural truss design for the building.
