- 4. I am happy with the quoted price, what are the next steps involved?
Clients must sign and complete the “acceptance form” in the attached quote
and send a copy to our office.
After we receive the signed acceptance form and an initial deposit has been
made (40% deposit), we will commence work on the concept design.
Once the concept is finished, clients will need to pay another 40% of the
quoted amount to receive the preliminary design. After this stage, the
client may request minor amendments to the design.
After the amendments have been made, a final, signed copy of the drawings
will be sent out after the final 20% has been received.
- 5. What payment facilities do you have available?
We accept payment via credit card (Visa and MasterCard), EFTPOS and cash.
- 6. How long will the design take?
The concept design is usually completed in roughly one week depending on the
size of the project. The concept can be used to receive quotes from builders and contractors.
- 7. How will I receive the designs?
Depending on whether you would like a hardcopy, softcopy or both, we can
either email and/or have the signed drawings ready to be picked up in our office.
Softcopy versions will be sent in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format.
Clients may also choose to receive an A1 hardcopy version of the designs for
an additional printing fee of $6 per sheet.
- 8. What is a “.dwg” file?
A .dwg file is an AutoCAD file. AutoCAD is the drafting program we use for our
designs. For convenience, clients will usually receive a .pdf file of our drawings.
- 9. Do you offer building/construction management services?
Yes, we offer construction management services for all types of projects
(e.g. residential alterations and additions, civil infrastructure, etc.).
We look after the tendering process and contract management phase of the
project for our clients. We are able to select an appropriate contractor
using a weighted assessment of suitable criteria.
In addition, we are able to prepare Council Development Applications,
Construction Certificates and provide engineering inspection and certification
at every stage of the project to satisfy Council requirements.
- 10. I have misplaced/lost a copy of my drawings that was designed by your firm a few
years ago, is there any way of retrieving them?
Yes, we archive all drawings, plans and designs for our clients in a secure
location for simple and fast retrieval in either hard copy or electronic
