As consulting engineers, architects are the first to make direct contact with the end user, hence, they are a major source of work for us at Neilly Davies. Neilly Davies have a strong network of architects that have been repeat clients over many years.

Architects produce the conceptual drawings based on private clients' requirements for new buildings or extensions, along with council regulations and other practical considerations, for a Development Application to the Local Council.

Once the Development Application has been approved, the architects then turn to Neilly Davies as consulting engineers to ensure whether the concept is structurally viable based on relevant national codes and standard requirements.

Neilly Davies then produce detailed structural design and detailing to specify structural elements that will be supporting the structure along with the required type foundation depending on the soil condition of the specific site.
